Petition to Support the Nurses and All Staff of Boston Medical Center to Ensure Safer Patient Care
Boston Medical Center nurses care for some of the sickest and most vulnerable members of our community every day. We provide highly skilled, complex care to patients and families who depend on us when it matters most.
But BMC nurses are among the lowest-paid hospital nurses in Boston. When nurses cannot afford to stay in the communities they serve, hospitals face turnover, staffing shortages, and added strain on patient care.
Competitive wages help keep experienced nurses at the bedside, attracting the next generation of caregivers, and protecting the quality of care our community deserves.
That is why, at the bargaining table, BMC nurses are calling for wages that are competitive, fair, and reflective of the skill, dedication, and expertise required to care for this patient population.
When BMC invests its staff, it strengthens recruitment, improves retention, and helps ensure patients continue to receive the high-quality care they need.
